Taylor's Song

Okay, I had to edit the video a little in order to stay within the 100mb limit! Booo!! Oh well, it is still perfect! There is a little talking at the beginning and the end is missing, but isn't she fabulous?!?!?!?!!!!!

Better late than never, right??

WOW! It has almost been a year since I've posted something here. I promise to try and be better about this blogging thing. Problem is, after being on the computer all day, that is the last thing I want to do when I get home!
Things are fabulous in the Rattan household. Maverick is still a stinky, but adorable, baby boy!! He got to spend the night at William and Jannie's house a few weeks ago and loved it! He always gets excited when we ask him if he wants to go see William and Jannie.
Mom, Frank, and I went to Waco last Friday to watch Taylor and Will perform in their school variety show. We had such a GREAT time!!! I'm going to try and load the video of Tay singing Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah! She was fabulous and sir Will was great singing his mac-n-cheese song too!! Love those kiddos!!
Kendra is living with mom and dad right now while she works in Texas for a while. I am SOOOOO happy to have her living back HOME right now :) It works out great because she can plan her wedding while she is here!!! I'm so happy for her and Matt.
That is all for now. I will right more later.... I promise!!

One Year Anniversary!

So, May 12th was our one-year anniversary. I cannot believe a year has already passed since we were married. This time last year we were on the beach in Cabo! I would SO love to be there again! Frank has a new job with Fidelity Investments (yea Frank!) and had to be in Rhode Island from May 4-16 for training. So, I flew up there for our anniversary celebration this past weekend. We had such a great time!!! We spent allllll day in Boston on Saturday. We walked our booties off exploring historical landmarks on the Freedom Trail, ate at Quincy Market, and took a tour of Fenway Park. Neither of us had ever visited Boston and were very excited to do so. What a neat city! I only wish we had more time to spend there!! Frank is ready to come home (Mav and I are ready too!!!)... I think he's a little tired of the rude people there. No offense to any of you from that area... people are more friendly in Texas!!! :) So much fun. Here are a few pics....

In love with my vacuum....

I'm on my lunch break, so I thought I would take a moment to express my love for our new vacuum. Okay, so, for those of you who don't know... we have an almost one-year-old chocolate lab named Maverick. We love him to pieces, but we do not love his hair everywhere!!!! Add in the fact that we have new carpet that sheds and you get TWO broken vacuum cleaners! I had enough with it all so I broke down and bought a Dyson Animal vacuum cleaner yesterday. Let me just say, I have NEVER been so excited about vacuuming the house as I was last night! IT IS AMAAAAAZING! And SO worth the money. I'm so thrilled that I'm going to do the baseboards tonight! And I'm excited about it.... that does not happen with me! So, go buy one if you are in the same boat. It will rock your face off!

New to this thing they call Blogging

Hi everyone!! I've been inspired to start a blog. I thought it would be a good way to keep my family and friends up to date on things going on in mine and Frank's life. My good friend Jenni started one and I really enjoy viewing the pics and catching up on day to day activities at the Graham household. Thanks for inspiring me, Jen!! Plus I want to win a prize from a lovely and very creative lady (see Courtney, you've inspired me too!!!). For those of you who might remember (or hopefully still have!) our adorable Christmas cards from 2007, you've seen the work of Courtney from Come Together Cards. CTC has soooo many cute cards, business cards, thank you notes, etc. They have cute standard choices, but they also create custom cards like ours!! You MUST check out the website (www.cometogethercards.com) and her blog spot (http://cometogethercards.blogspot.com) The blog has random facts, such as Barbie's last name...hehe.. it is Roberts! Betcha didn't know that!! Check out the site and the blog. You never know what you can learn! I know you will love the products and I will be shocked if you aren't compelled to order something!!!

More to come from the life of the Rattan's.

Stay tuned.......
